A Study on the Difficulty of Teaching and Learning Mathematics in Under Graduate Level with Special Reference to Guwahati City

Mathematics, the only subject, which is used in every sphere of our lives. However, it can’t be learnt overnight. Understanding and practicing mathematics regularly helps to make a firm base. Though it is a fascinating subject, but a very large fraction of students find the subject creepy. Such problems may crop up as a result of improper guidance in their initial stages. This paper is an attempt to study the difficulty areas occurred while learning and teaching mathematics. It is also aspired to bestow a fruitful implication for the development of teaching learning mathematics at the under graduate level.
